Jeep Adds Sahara Trim Level to the 2026 Gladiator

 

The Jeep Gladiator will now be offered in a comfort-focused Sahara trim level, like the Wrangler.

The 2026 Jeep Gladiator pickup will gain a new Sahara trim level inspired by that found on the Wrangler SUV for many years.

Launched in 1988, this trim level has always been more focused on comfort than full-on off-roading, benefiting from nicer interior materials and a higher level of standard equipment than other Wranglers.

Now, the same will be true of the Gladiator Sahara, which will be positioned as a more premium and comfortable version of the brand’s pickup truck, which shares much of its design and engineering with the Wrangler.

The main differentiating features that help the Gladiator Sahara stand out from the other models in the lineup include body-colour wheel arches, a body-colour hardtop roof, and 18-inch aluminum wheels.

Buyers will be able to order all-terrain tires at no extra cost, but not at the start of production.

Since the Sahara is a premium trim level, it will also come standard with LED headlamps and fog lamps, McKinley leather upholstery, heated front seats and steering wheel, and both the 7-inch driver information display and the 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen.

Remote start and keyless entry are also included, helping the Gladiator Sahara combine “authentic Jeep capability and everyday comfort”, according to the manufacturer.

Pricing in Canada will start at $59,600, placing it between the Willys and Rubicon trim levels. Despite its more premium image, the Gladiator Sahara will in fact be close to the middle of the truck’s price ladder, which extends to the Rubicon X and Mojave X, which both start at $78,585.

A base price of U.S. $47,125 means the Sahara occupies the same position in the American Gladiator lineup.

Orders have already begun for this new trim level of the Jeep truck, which is manufactured alongside the Wrangler in Toledo, Ohio, the historic home of the off-roader brand.
