2019 Maserati Ghibli Ribelle is a rebellious limited edition in elegant black finish

There is a new rebel in Maserati’s family of vehicles and it looks ready to go up against all odds. Maserati is introducing the new Ghibli Ribelle, a new limited edition model that underscores the importance of the Ghibli within the carmaker’s range. Maserati will launch the new Ghibli Ribelle to the market starting October 2018.

Maserati’s latest limited edition is essentially the Ghibli featuring a darker look courtesy of a number of exterior and interior tweaks. Its name “Ribelle” is an Italian word that actually means “rebel,” signifying the rebellious looks of this new limited edition. To highlight this, the Ghibli Ribelle is wrapped in a dark metallic tone called “Nero Ribelle,” which means black rebel. Nero Ribelle is indeed a fitting color for such a name.

This rebellious yet sophisticated dark appearance of the Maserati Ghibli Ribelle is further highlighted by elegantly exclusive glossy black Proteo alloy wheels. Measuring 19 inches in diameter, these alloy wheels feature contrasting red laser etched details. Seen through the wheels are red brake calipers.
Inside, the Maserati Ghibli Ribelle comes with a two-tone black/red dashboard, black leather Sport steering wheel with tone-on-tone stitching and steering wheel paddle shifters as well as black door panels and red central armrest. Occupants are accommodated in sporty seats -- with 12 position memories – covered in full premium leather in black/red with contrasting stitching. In addition, a chromed aluminum badge with the Trident and new Ribelle logos is found on the wooden central console finished in Black Piano.
Clients who wanted to own a Maserati Ghibli Ribelle may also avail of the optional Ribelle Plus package that includes full-LED Matrix adaptive headlights, opening sunroof as well as a Harman Kardon premium sound system. In addition, the optional Ribelle Plus package includes laminated privacy windows that helps improve both thermal and sound insulation.
As for the core of the Maserati Ghibli Ribelle, clients can choose from one of the three available engines for the Ghibli sports sedan. Designed by Maserati Powertrain and built at Ferrari’s Maranello plant, these engines include two 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 units (350 hp and 430 hp) and 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 mill delivering 271 hp. All engines are mated to an eight-speed transmission, with power sent to the rear or all wheels.
The carmaker will build only 200 units of the Maserati Ghibli Ribelle limited edition and will offer it only to customers in the EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) region. Maserati will commence sales of the limited edition sports saloon in October.
PRESS RELEASE

INTRODUCING THE NEW MASERATI GHIBLI RIBELLE

Maserati further underlines the importance of Ghibli within its range with a new limited edition to be launched by the Trident brand from October. The new Maserati “Ghibli Ribelle”, produced in a limited edition of just 200 cars for the EMEA markets, offers owners exclusive design and elegant interior trims sharing a common denominator: the refined, sophisticated “NeroRibelle” mica colour, which shows off the car’s unique design to exquisite effect.

This new limited edition Ghibli will be available with all of the sports saloon’s three powerplants, the 275 HP V6 turbodiesel and the two petrol options, both twin-turbo V6 delivering 350 HP and 430 HP, designed by Maserati Powertrain and built at the Ferrari plant at Maranello.
At first sight, the Ghibli’s elegant silhouette acquires a new dimension thanks to the metallic tone of the “Nero Ribelle”colour. A sophisticated shade superlatively coordinated with the exclusive shiny black 19 inch Proteo alloy wheels with contrasting red laser etched details. The brake callipers are red.
The interior of the “Ghibli Ribelle” features two-tone black/red dashboard, black door panels and red central armrest, black leather Sport steering wheel with tone-on-tone stitching, and steering wheel paddle shifters. The sporty seats (with 12 position memories) are in full premium leather, again two-tone in black/red with contrasting stitching, available exclusively for this limited edition.
The uniqueness of the new Ghibli limited edition’s interior is further emphasised by a chromed aluminium badge bearing the legendary Trident combined with the new Ribelle logo. Located on the central console, in Black Piano finish wood, it is clearly visible to all the vehicle’s occupants to establish its unique, exclusive character.

For this Ghibli Ribelle limited edition, Maserati also offers the optional Ribelle Plus package, providing even greater luxury with laminated privacy windows for enhanced thermal and sound insulation, full-LED Matrix adaptive headlights, Harman Kardon premium sound system and opening sunroof.
The “Ghibli Ribelle” limited edition of just 200 cars will be on sale in EMEA region markets from October.
