This Lamborghini Huracan steps out with Countach-inspired retro wheels by Vossen

While combining retro with contemporary styling cues can sometimes not work out so well, this Lamborghini Huracan with Vossen forged wheels prove it all wrong. To start off, the iconic supercar has been fitted with Vossen’s LC-103, making it very much like a modern version of the Countach with a phone dial–inspired wheel design. The LC-103 has a starting price of $1,300 each and is offered in several different sizes.
In this particular Lambo, Vossen uses a single piece monoblock forged alloy wheels in rose gold finish with five rounded holes and polished details. These are nothing like we’ve seen before except those on the classic Lamborghini Countachs of the eighties.
According to the design details on their website, the Vossen Forged LC-103 wheel and Lip concept series aims to emulate the transition of multi-piece wheel while incorporating the forged aluminum’s single piece monoblock construction at the same time. The finishing options are done at Vossen’s very own, state of the art finishing facilities that produce only the best quality finishes.
These can go from ceramic polishing to powder coating while the forgings are made with extra component on the face to make way for different types of profile that ranges from flat to very deep concave designs. At the very least, this lets them come up with 8.5” to a maximum of 12.5” concave width for better variety.
The wheel options not only include special modifications for the cap and center lock, but also offers personalized engraving, lightening pockets and vehicle tailored engineering. The cap finishes provide the wheels with a matching color as the red V shield while the center lock option allows its customers to modify the design for the center lock application. Owners can also have the serial number, wheel specification and special note engraved at the inboard lip.
Additionally, they can ask Vossen to make the weight reducing pockets milled at the back pad of the wheel or have them engineered with vehicle-specific concave profile as well as avail the FEA weight optimization option.
Since the Huracan originally comes with edgy, angular shaped wheels with a combination of hexagonal and triangular design, opting for Vossen’s LC-103 will be a cool change for those who want to give the supercar a more classic look. For those who might be interested, the Countach-inspired wheels are available in 48 colors with sizes measuring between 19” to 24” and up to 12.5” concavity. These rims are available in Gloss, Textured, Satin, Matte and Transparent finishes.
