Novitec tweaked a Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster to generate 970 horsepower

It is not like the Lamborghini Aventador does not perform well when we’re comparing performance. But some tuners just like to fiddle with car parts, which is the main reason why they exist. This is where Novitec Torado comes in. More than a year ago, Novitec actually put its sights on the Lamborghini Aventador SV Coupe.

First of all, Novitec put the coupe into a carbon fiber diet, by replacing some of its parts to make it extra lightweight. Other than that, they also changed the engine into a 6.5 liter V12 for an extra push. So what happens when you combine a stronger engine and a lightweight car? You all know the answer.

But let us get into more detail first. The new engine has now been supercharged, as Novitec got rid of the naturally aspirated one, letting the car generate a total of 970 horsepower, from the standard’s 750 horsepower. That’s a whopping 220 horsepower increase from the original model, which is pretty insane.

Up next, Novitec Torado adds on a number of carbon fiber bits to the Aventador with its aerodynamic body kit. Though we may not see how much more powerful the car is in the photos, you’ll notice that it now comes with a new set of 20-inch wheels on the front, while the rear axle gets 21-inch wheels. More carbon fiber has been added to the rest of the body, together with a new exhaust system and a KW coilover suspension, for a complete makeover.

This upgrade kit is marketed to a very limited number of people all over the world since only 500 examples of the Aventador SV Roadster were built by Lamborghini. In fact, it is even more exclusive than the coupe that has 100 more examples. If you could remember, the very last Aventador SV just rolled off the production line a few weeks ago with the same paint job as the Porsche 918 Spyder.

Pushing a car beyond its already astounding figures may seem too crazy for others. However, if there is a demand for it, someone has got to do it. In fact, there are people who seek cars with over 1,000 horses. Different people have different tastes, some are content with a factory-made Lamborghini, while others won’t be satisfied with what’s already there.
