Shelby unveils 750+ HP F-150 Super Snake Street Truck

Shelby American has a new full size pickup truck that is reminiscent of the Ford SVT Lightning. This street performance half ton is based on the 2017 Ford F150, but makes even better use of the lightweight aluminum body. Starting with a 5.0 Coyote V8 that has 385 stock horsepower, the team at Shelby tops it with a Shelby supercharger that helps peak output reach over 750 horsepower. That power is put to the ground via a shiftable six speed transmission and either rear wheel drive or selectable four wheel drive.

Aside from nearly doubling the power output, a Shelby suspension system is added to keep the muscle truck docile along with a set of 22” Shelby chrome rims wrapped in 305/45 performance tires. That equates to a twelve inch (30.5 centimeter) wide footprint at every corner. The custom hood features dual intake ram air scoops, while the front fenders have functional venting. The exterior of the Super Snake also features unique fender flares, front and rear bumpers, rocker panels, grills and a tonneau cover. Under the rear bumper peaks a Shelby by Borla dual exhaust system with polished SST tips.

The interior is not forgotten about, featuring leather seats with Super Snake embroidery. The dash and center console are adorned with various Shelby badging as well as a serialized plaque. Shelby embroidered carpet floor mats and deeply tinted windows round out the interior.

The Super Snake Street Truck is available now through select Ford dealerships in your choice of six colours. Each vehicle includes a 3 year / 36,000 mile warranty and a Shelby serial number to document in the official Shelby Registry. Shelby will be limiting quantities of these trucks to 150 examples for the 2017 model year. MSRP is $96,880 usd.
