2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is turned into a convertible beast by X-Tomi Designs

After months of continuous teasers and worldwide hype, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles let loose the insane 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon that blew up the audience's minds in the 2017 New York Auto Show the past week. Fresh off its release, a lot of Dodge Demon renders are also grabbing the netizen's attention including the X-Tomi Designs' render.
Graphic designers at X-Tomi Design gave us an initial peek through with their unique take on a chop top Challenger SRT Demon, and it is actually looks dashing. The American automaker has not yet released a convertible variant of the new gen Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, but by far this render by X-Tomi Designs takes the cake. However, the approach to the Dodge Demon is more of an aesthetic makeover and didn't really cater to a power boost of any kind. But we really aren't worried, since the Dodge Demon is already a speed maniac from the start.
The Demon can hit up to 60 miles per hour in just 2.3 seconds, pulling 1.8G's with a 9.65 quarter mile drag time starting at 140 mph. Its 6.2 L Hemi Demon V8 engine can produce around 770 lb-ft f torque, and a higher rev restriction of 6,500 rmp. Still impressive as hell. The extraordinary novelties are still in place. These include the enormous hood scoop, the extra slim tires in the front, the extensive drag radials in the back and also worth mentioning are its flared fenders. Since only a single render image is made available, we can tell that its roof is looking to swoop all the way to the back of the convertible and is placed safely in the trunk.
We really are hoping that this render will get the attention of the head honchos of Dodge, but now we are stuck with wishful thinking. We are imagining that a convertible Demon will all be the rage in the car universe if one would be sent into production, given that the American automaker can figure out a solution for the huge loss in structural sternness.
For the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, there is still no official announcement on its base price, but we are guessing that this speed beast will not come cheap. Tim Kuniskis, Dodge brand chief, announced that only 3,300 Demon models will be produced- specifically 3,000 units for the U.S. and the other 300 for Canada. It's a one-time offer for one year only.
Given the limited production of this Demon model, you will have to dish out tons of cash if you are to acquire this speedster. Its predecessor, the Challenger SRT Hellcat, the recent cream of the crop model, bears a base price of over $64,000. So there’s no doubt then that the Demon's sticker price will be a lot steeper, and dealer mark-ups would also be expected to be huge. Tim Kuniskis also remarked that production will start in late summer and Dodge Demon's deliveries to dealers will commence in the fall.
