Last Dodge Demon and Viper will be auctioned off on June 20

If you are a huge fan of the Dodge Viper and the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon but never had the chance to get your hands on any, there is going to be one last chance for you to get your hands on not one but both of them. This is because in June, Dodge will release the final examples of the Dodge Viper and the Dodge Challenger Demon at the Barrett Jackson auction in Uncasville, Connecticut.

The reason why I said that you could get your hands on both is because of the fact that both models will be auctioned as a pair, so you are out of luck if you could only afford one. When combined, the Viper and the Demon will have an output of $1,485 horsepower. In fact, Dodge calls the auction “The Ultimate Last Chance”, so get your check books out.

Head of Passenger Car Brands, Dodge/SRT, Chrysler, and Fiat - FCA North America, Steve Beahm, even stated that it is close to impossible for an avid collector to have both the Dodge Viper and the Dodge Challenger Demon in his garage because these models are just so difficult to get your hands on, considering that they sell out even before the automaker begins production of these.

He then adds that Barrett Jackson will give you one “last chance” to get your hands on the most sought after vehicles in the United States. Aside from having two trophies in your garage, the money that will be received will raise money for a good cause that is close to the brand’s heart.

If you are unaware, which I highly doubt, the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is equipped with a supercharged 6.2 liter V8 engine under the hood, carrying out 840 horsepower and 770 pound feet of torque. This Demon was the very last model to be built from the 3,300 examples produced, and it wears a Viper Red exterior colour.

Other than its super powerful engine, the Demon also comes with the front passenger seat, trunk carpet kit, custom Demon car cover, build sheet, and Demon Crate, which you won’t get in any regular Demon. The crate comes with additional parts like the front runner drag wheels, replacements powertrain control module, as well as Demon branded track tools.

And that is just half of the package. The 2017 Dodge Viper, on the other hand, has 645 horsepower that comes from its 8.4 liter V10 engine, sending power to the massive, 14 inch wide rear tires. Its body is made out of carbon fiber, and it includes more carbon fiber accents like black Alcantara leather seats, and exclusive authentication kit.

So how much do you think the pair would cost? Well, the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat VIN0001 alone reached $1.65 million back in 2014. We wouldn’t be surprised if the pair reaches seven figures.

The winning bidder takes home a combined 1,485 horsepower: The 840-hp Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, the industry’s first and only purpose-built, street-legal production drag car with the most powerful production V-8 engine and 20-plus industry-first, drag-performance features, leaving its mark as an undisputed muscle car legend; and the 645-hp Dodge Viper, America’s hand-built performance supercar with 8.4L V-10 engine, aerospace-grade, lightweight carbon fiber body, iconic side exhaust and massive 14-inch wide rear tires, leaving behind a 25-year legacy with more track records than any other production car. Plans to auction the end-of-era Dodge Challenger SRT Demon and Dodge Viper vehicles – “The Ultimate Last Chance” – were announced today during the Barrett-Jackson West Palm Beach auction in Florida.

The 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon rattled the windows with a debut at the 2017 New York International Auto Show, grabbing attention with its 840-hp rating, street-legal drag radial tires and record-setting performance, first front-wheel lift in a production car, certified by Guinness World Records and world’s fastest quarter-mile production car (9.65 seconds ET/140 mph), certified by the National Hot Rod Association.

Production of the Challenger SRT Demon is limited to one model year and a total of 3,300 units (3,000 U.S./300 Canada).

The vehicles cross the block during the Barrett-Jackson Northeast auction (June 20-23) at the Mohegan Sun Resort in Uncasville, Connecticut. One hundred percent of proceeds from the sale go to the United Way.

Production of American hand-built V-10-powered Dodge Viper concluded at the Conner Avenue Assembly Plant in Detroit in fall 2017. The last production 2017 Dodge Viper is styled in homage to the first-generation Dodge Viper RT/10 with its Viper Red exterior and black interior. The car (VIN ending in 731948) includes exterior carbon fiber accents, black Alcantara leather seats and an exclusive VIN instrument panel badge and authentication kit.
