2018 Aston Martin Vantage Shooting Brake would be a worthy rival to the Ferrari GTC4Lusso

A couple of days ago, we saw the very first rendering of the Aston Martin Roadster just a few days after the automaker unveiled the newest Vantage. And we find it so amazing how these artists work on their imaginations so quickly. As mentioned earlier, the Shooting Brake is one of those possible family members.
It was Nikita Aksyonov who was the person behind the beautiful rendering of the 2018 Aston Martin Vantage as a more practical Shooting Brake, and we think that it is a genius idea.
Wouldn’t this baby Aston Martin be a better choice or at least be an alternative to the larger Ferrari GTC4Lusso, as it will more likely be cheaper as well. Overall, it will likely have 100 horsepower more when at its “T” flavor, while the range topping trim with the V12 engine will have as much as 680 horsepower.
If you were wondering, this is not the first time the Aston Martin Vantage has entered the digital worlds. In fact, it has already been imagined as a Volante even before this. And “Volante” actually means convertible in Aston Martin’s language. When comparing both models, we think that a Vantage Volante is more likely to happen than a Shooting Brake.
When asked about the Vantage Volante, the British car marque refused to comment on the matter, so keep that in mind because you’re not going to get any inside information - for now, at least. What we do certainly know is that a convertible is coming sooner or later.
In other news, the same rendering artist, Nikita Aksyonov also rendered another possible variant of the Vantage, but it was an Aston Martin Vantage Roadster that time and it looked quite handsome too. He did not give it a fixed roof, but instead, it will be getting a hard rear deck with a coweled tonneau cover, similar to that of the outgoing Vantage Roadster, and it looks very much like the coupe. As for this variant, we also do not know whether one is being developed. But for reference, it took the automaker around a year to come out with a DB11 Volante convertible after the coupe was first introduced to us.
The Vantage has been around for quite some time now, and in the past years, the automaker has released quite a handful of variations. These models had engines that range from a V8 to a V12, with fixed roofs and convertibles.
The newly revealed Aston Martin Vantage comes with a 4.0 liter biturbocharged V8 and a $150,000 price tag and each one of the luxury sports car has already been accounted for since it was released.
