Updates on Gran Turismo Sport will add 15 new free cars, 35 more cars to arrive in 1Q-2018.

A couple of weeks ago, the Gran Turismo Sport was launched on Sony’s PlayStation 4 console. In the game, players get to choose from 162 cars. But that’s almost nothing compared to the new Forza Motorsport 7 that offers over 700 vehicles. This is why Polyphony Digital, the racing game developer, is working on improving this issue by adding more vehicles in the near future.
Having said that, Gran Turismo will be releasing a live update on November 27, and the so called Update 1.06 will include three free cars namely the IsoRivolta Zagato Vision Gran Turismo, the Audi R18, and the Shelby Cobra 427. Furthermore, the award winning video game franchise will receive a more substantial update 1.07, which adds 12 more vehicles, free of charge. Here is the list of the 12 cars that we should expect.
That’s not all Polyphony Digital has to offer, because they also promised to roll out an additional of 35 vehicles up until March 2018. Apart from a number of new vehicles, they will also be adding the number of tracks as well, though they did not specify how many will be added. Right now, there are 17 tracks that gamers can choose from.
Another feature that will be added to the first update is the campaign mode, which can be played offline. Elements of the car physics simulation model will be improved too, especially for commercial cars. The difficulty of some of the modes has been adjusted as well.
For next month’s update, gamers will be able to choose a single player game that is the GT League. This will include series like the “Sunday Cup”, “Clubman Cup”, etc.
Therefore, Gran Turismo owners should not be disappointed about the fact that the game only offers 162 cars and 17 tracks that are currently available. The complaints have not fallen to deaf ears and its creators are assuring everyone that there will be plenty more surprises.
If you still have not gotten your hands on the Gran Turismo Sport for PlayStation 4, maybe it’s time you should get one. Gamers could represent their favourite manufacturer through multiple race classes, including GT3, Prototype, Rally, and more. It retails for $59.99 and is compatible with PlayStation VR and PlayStation Camera. In PS VR mode, players are able to use most tracks and vehicles. Gamers could also play the game online as an option.
These are the vehicles you will get to drive in Gran Turismo Sport on PlayStation 4:
  • Mazda RX-7 Spirit R Type A (FD)
  • Nissan Skyline GT-R V, spec II (R32)
