2018 BMW M3 30 years American Edition is up for grabs for $130,110 in Los Angeles

We first saw the 30 Years American Edition of the BMW M3 (F80) at SEMA last year. This model was created to celebrate three decades of the sports sedan in the United States. And if you were tuned in at that time, you would know that only one car was ever made and it was dressed in a snazzy Frozen Red II Metallic hue that is combined with19 inch front and 20 inch golden M Performance alloy wheels.
And believe it or not, when it first made its debut at Las Vegas, the said model came with a price tag of $128,635. That is double the price of a standard M3 that costs an average $66,500.
Today, the said model has a value of $130,110, and this one off M3 with all the extra cool bits has been put up for sale by a dealer in Los Angeles. This model comes equipped with the optional Competition Package, together with a six speed manual gearbox.
Though what really makes this particular model stand out from the rest of the crowd would be its cabin - dressed in red, white and blue, truly representing the American flag. Despite that, you are probably still wondering why this car costs this much. Well, to make it extra special, BMW gave it M stripes on the carbon fiber reinforced plastic roof. It also has the 30th Anniversary graphic on the rear sunshade.
Moreover, there is a long list of M goodies that have been added to this model. These include the rear wing that had been made solely with carbon fiber, an M Performance exhaust with titanium silencer, together with an adjustable suspension that lowers the ride height between 5 and 20 millimeters. The aforementioned shiny wheels, just so you know, are exclusive to this model too, and they are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.
The newer M5 only costs $102,600 so the $130,000 for an M3 may not be considered a smart choice by some people. However, if you tick all the options of the M5 for a really powerful car, you will end up paying $138,825. So now, choosing whether to get this unique special edition M3 or a brand new regular M5 isn’t so tough, is it?
The special edition M3 was actually built to mark the 30th anniversary of the BMW M3’s arrival in America. For those of you who are interested, this car is available at the Century West BMW dealership in Hollywood.
