2018 Dodge Durango GT can now be upgraded with the SRT-inspired Rallye Package

We know of the Dodge Durango as a mean-looking SUV. But the automaker decided to make it look even more aggressive, now giving it as much as 475 horsepower (354 kilowatts). Now, with the Rallye design package, that’s another notch up for the three-row, 2018 Durango GT SUV. It now has cool exterior upgrades, together with a selection of new colour options.
The styling package consists of the following: a performance hood, front fascia, and LED fog lights. Meanwhile, the new engine cover adds two heat extractors and a cold air duct. Also, the new Durango borrows its front fascia and fog lights from the Durango R/T and SRT models before it.
New colour options include Vice White, White Knuckle, Octane Red, Redline Red, DB Black, Granite and In-Violet. Customers could combine this with 20-inch Hyper Black aluminum wheels, or optional Brass Monkey wheels as part of the Blacktop package. Most of the changes can be seen here, and both the interior and the engine options stay the same.
Moving into the Dodge Durango’s cabin, the interior is still covered in the same leather trimmed bucket seats that are contrasted with the suede inserts found in the standard GT model. The first and second row seats are all heated as part of the package, together with a power lift gate.
What powers the Durango is the same 3.6 liter Pentastar V6 that produces 295 horsepower (219 kilowatts) and 260 pound feet (352 Newton metres) of torque. This engine is then paired to an eight speed automatic transmission with a stop and start technology. Customers can get this in either a rear- or an all-wheel drive configuration depending on their preference. The V6 Durango also has the ability to tow an impressive 6,200 pounds (2,812 kilograms).
Head of Passenger Cars at Dodge, Steve Beahm, states that their customers are enticed with the performance look of the Durango R/T and Durango SRT. However, they also prefer the award winning Pentastar V6 engine’s 295 horsepower and the excellent fuel efficiency it delivers. He then adds that the new Durango GT Rallye Appearance Package gives the perfect mix of both worlds, providing customers with what they exactly need for their three-row SUV.
For those who are in the market for the Durango GT, and are interested in getting one, you can simply get the Rallye Appearance Package for an additional $1,495 in the United States, on top of the base MSRP of the GT. The Durango GT has a price tag of $37,795 for the rear wheel drive model, and $40,395 for the all-wheel drive variant -- both prices exclude the Rallye Appearance Package.
