Audi R8 V10 Plus with performance parts is built to impress

Audi R8 is definitely a much loved car by the market, and we really are dreading the day it will retire. To be honest, we think that the second generation model might not have the same impact as the older 2006 model, but this model is actually even more desirable with all the right boxes ticked, and its remarkable list of extra trinkets.
The said model is currently on display at Audi Forum Neckarsulm, and is dressed in an Ara Blue shade, while fitted with an assortment of optional goodies added from the Performance Partscatalog that was launched by Audi Sport in summer 2017, particularly for the R8 as well as its baby, the TT RS. In fact, after all the added features of this model, you might think that it has already lost its road legal statues. That’s because physically, it looks similar to the track-ready R8 LMS GT4 launched towards the end of last year.
Aside from its aerodynamic body kit and the front bumper canards, customers can opt to add two or three way coilover suspension. As seen in the photos, the 20 inch black milled wheels pictures here cut down some of its weight by 17.6 pounds (8 kilos). There wheels are then wrapped in 245/30 R20 front and 305/30 R20 rear tires.
If you decide to tick all the extra aerodynamics features, your vehicle will be able to produce an output of 551 pounds (250 kilograms) of downforce at 205 miles per hour (330 kph) or 220 pounds over the regular model.
As for performance, the Audi R8 V10 Plus can hit 60 miles per hour from a standstill in just 2.9 seconds, and it only requires 10.9 seconds to reach 129 miles per hour. Pretty impressive, we think. It does have a 5.2 liter V10 with a total output of 610 horsepower. This may actually be Audi’s most powerful engine ever put into production. It revs 20 percent quicker than its predecessor, spinning from a full stop to its 8500 rpm redline in 0.66 seconds.
With all the aerodynamic upgrades, it is natural that the model should also get matching interior upgrades to complement the exterior body. This is why the Audi R8 10 Plus will get sportier Alcantara covered steering wheels, with a red 12 o’clock marking, and carbon fiber shift paddles with reinforced plastic for those who want the best.
We are aware that Audi will not renew the R8 for a third generation, nor will it get an entry level V6 model. Audi Sport does not have plans to update its supercar, though we have been seeing spy shots of its camouflaged prototype. This has a fat oval exhaust tip and it might have been a new R8 GT limited edition.
