The Alfa Romeo 4C 'Nemesis' Has 470bhp And Many Angry Aero Bits

Pogea Racing has worked over Alfa Romeo's carbon-tubbed, mid-engine coupe, and the results are dramatic

The Alfa Romeo 4C’s 237bhp output may not sound much, but this car isn’t about big headline figures. Nope, it’s all about speed and agility (and a little too much aggression, arguably) provided via lightness. Thanks in part to its carbonfibre tub, the 4C weighs less than a tonne.
But what if you wanted to marry that featherweight ethos with some more serious firepower? That’s when you need to call the ladies and gents at German tuning firm Pogea racing and ask very nicely they wouldn’t mind building you a 4C ‘Nemesis’.

The mid-mounted inline-four turbo of this extensively re-worked 4C is no longer a 1.75-litre unit. It now displaces 1.95 litres, has received new forged internals and has been blessed with a new cylinder head as well as a punchier turbocharger.
The result? 470bhp and 395lb ft of torque, making 0-62mph possible in just 3.6 seconds. Keep the throttle pinned, and it’ll keep going until 191mph.

There’s certainly no mistaking it for a normal 4C from the outside. Pogea has littered the coupe’s body with carbonfibre, including a huge front splitter which will undoubtedly make every local speedbump your sworn enemy, plus a fantastically obnoxious rear wing. We’re particular fans of the carbonfibre louvres at the back.

Pogea has neglected to release any information regarding pricing, but none of this is going to be cheap, is it? Plus, it’ll be very exclusive - just five of the cars will be built, and one is already spoken for.
If you had the cash, would you have something like this done to your 4C, or would you rather leave it stock?
