Carlex Design shows off tuned Mercedes Benz V-Class and Vito vans
These days, car modifications are no longer mere extensions of the owner’s status or personality. In the automotive world, tuning houses have played a major role in taking your car literally one step ahead by offering emerging technologies both in exterior and interior design as well as in aerodynamics.
Take a look at what Carlex Design has just presented exclusively for Mercedes-Benz’s premium passenger vans. While everything else remains to be seen, what you’re about to see are basically a Mercedes-Benz Vito and a V-Class that not only flaunt a more luxurious cabin design but also boasts of a sporty looking exterior.
To start off, the aerodynamic kit appears to come with new roof spoilers, side skirts, new bumpers and rear diffuser with integrated exhaust pipes. Evidently the new set-up includes a new set of alloy wheels with five twin spoke design and a visibly clear white body paint with green accoutrements both on the side sills and on the bumpers.
For contrasting effect, the area surrounding the air intakes, roof and side mirrors come in gloss black including the rear diffuser that has a tiny gap at the middle. This hollow part may come unnoticed but it was there to make sure the built-in tow bar sits well on its place.
Going in, not only you will find the most luxurious ambience but you’ll find the most comfortable, safe and stylish interior amenities available for a passenger van. There’s even a reshaped steering wheel that offers its driver a better grip on the handle over the standard steering wheel.
According to Carlex, they reupholstered the van’s interior to reflect the customer’s distinctive style. They also offer styling kits that provide designs that match the exterior. Like with this example, the new leather upholstery comes with contrasting green and white stitching. It is unclear what else is included on the package but we guess the rest will vary depending on the customer’s choice.
Since Carlex will be offering these special kits before 2018, it will only be a matter of weeks (or maybe less than a couple of months) until the company officially reveals what they have in store for two of Mercedes’ luxurious passenger vans.
Before anything else, it will be good to note that Carlex also provides jewelry creations for some of its projects. Carlex Design jewelry atelier uses traditional techniques in processing precious metals including the usual inlay and marquetry, incrusting, patina application, gilding and etching. These traditionally known techniques are also applied when it comes to engraving, carving, grinding and forging the materials used in making the jewelry accessories for the car. Having described what this tuning house is capable of, again, there surely is no better place to go than Carlex.
