BMW reveals M Bike Limited Carbon Edition inspired by Marina Bay Blue M5 (F90)

For those of you who just placed an order for a new BMW M5 (F90), you might like to pair it with a matching bicycle. The BMW M Bike Limited Carbon Edition is finished in Marina Bay Blue Metallic paint, exactly like that of the sports sedan.
However, if you want this bike, you have to act quickly. That is because it will be limited to 500 units only, each of which will be priced at 1,400 euros (around $1,674). The bicycles are made with hydro-formed aluminum frame, while the fork, the seat posts and spacers are all made of carbon fiber to reduce overall weight. For easier braking, it gets a set of hydraulic Shimano disk brakes.
As we all know, the BMW M5 comes equipped with a 4.4 liter biturbo engine that enables it to give out 600 horsepower (447 kilowatts) and 553 pound-feet (750 Newton-metres) of torque. The M5 is more powerful than its predecessor, which has an output of 575 horsepower (428 kilowatts) and 500 pound-feet (677 Newton meters) of torque.
This powertrain lets it hit 62 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour) in just 3.4 seconds, before reaching its top speed of 155 miles per hour (250 kilometers per hour). This can even be maxed out to 189 mph (305 mph) without the limiter. Before I forget, the M5’s output routes through an all-wheel-drive system that can send power to the rear wheels when necessary.
It is not until spring 2018 that the company will begin deliveries of the M5. Having said that, the sedan will have a starting price of €117,900 (approximately $141,000) in Europe, while the company has not said how much it will cost in the United States.
If you would like to own a better-performing M5, you will need to have the patience to wait until 2018 when the Competition Package becomes part of the options list. This package should include tweaked dynamics as well as ceramic brakes, and this option alone would cost you $10,000 alone if you add it to the standard model, according to BMW's product executive for large cars, Andy Cook. Apart from that, the M5 with Competition Package will be given a stiffer suspension and its overall weight will be lowered as well.
We have seen automakers partner with other brands so they can create lifestyle products that would match their vehicles - from watches and smartphones, to boats and bicycles. But amongst all that, I think the bicycle would be the coolest and most practical thing you could own.
