Wald International Black Bison body kit for the BMW 7 Series (G11/G12) is polarizing
Japanese aftermarket tuner Wald International’s latest project in the Black Bison line of body kits focuses on the BMW 7 Series. In these images, we see the large German sedan with the new pieces of Wald on both the front and the rear end. Having said that, the model will surely turn a lot of heads with these unusual revisions.
Apart from the aforementioned front and rear bumpers that are part of the Black Bison kit, there are also side sills, as well as new wheels and an aftermarket exhaust that can be added to the BMW 7 Series.
Up front, the most noticeable feature would be the L-shaped intakes on both sides, with a vertical array of LEDs as opposed to the horizontal ones on the stock G12. Both corners also get small, square-shaped inlets at each side, as well as a rectangular opening with horizontal slats in the center. A slim black lip also underlines the vehicle’s front bumpers.
Unlike the factory-designed 7 Series that looks elegant at the front, the Black Bison kit is the complete opposite, looking all aggressive instead. Here is the thing, the 7 Series naturally has a curvy body, and the hard edges do not seem to go well with that design. And with that much contrast, we have a tendency to automatically look at the angular elements immediately.
Just like the intakes, there seems to be a similar problem with the side sills. They do not seem to fit seamlessly into the 7 Series. So, instead of making it look cool, the sides of the car tend to look odd, to say the least.
Again, when looking at the images, the nicest part of the Black Bison kit would be the rear bumper. This is because the original 7 Series’ rear design looks a little too understated, and the Japanese tuner has added some creases at each corner with a simulated diffuser at the back. The aftermarket exhaust that the company fits may not look sleek, but several more traditional dual oval outlets may improve the look of the new bumper.
If you would like your car to be noticed, then we think that the Black Bison’s polarizing look for the sixth-generation limo would be perfect for you. We cannot think of another factory designed vehicle or even a modified one that is on the same level of weirdness as this body kit. But who knows, maybe some people actually find this design pretty cool in its own way. Take note that Wald International is known for their daring and unconventional designs, and this doesn’t disappoint as it seems to be one of them.
