BMW unleashes the new X3 (G01) with a matching mountain e-bike

The world never runs out of adventure, which is why BMW Lifestyle has teamed up with “Specialized” to develop the special edition E-mountain bike. Branded as Specialized Turbo Levo FSR 6Fattie, the exclusively designed mountain bike has been given the new Phytonic Blue paint job to match the official color of the 3rd generation BMW X3 (G01).

To further complement the new SUV, the trail bike is equipped with a water bottle with the tagline “Specialized For BMW”. The price? Let’s just say the regular Specialized Turbo Levo FSR 6Fattie costs $4,500 (or about 3,900 in euros in Germany). Now for those who want the special edition BMW version of the mountain bike, they can have it for the price of $5,900 (5,200 euros).

What makes it more interesting to have is that the e-bike features a 504Wh battery pack with a dock that lets you recharge its battery off the bike. Similarly, BMW developed a special charging cable that can be hooked to the SUV’s 12V power socket without compromising its own supply.

The Specialized BMW Turbo Levo FSR 6Fatttie is integrated with the Mission control smartphone app that keeps track of the rider’s time and distance to help optimize the battery’s full potential. Other features include pedal assistance, an automatically adjustable telescopic seat post and a pair of 2.8-inch tires.

BMW had previously endorsed more affordable bikes with their products just like the Cruise M Bike Limited Edition with matching M2 Coupe, as well as the Cruise 3-Bike i8 Protonic Dark Silver Edition. Its recent partnership with Specialized bike maker lines up with the brand’s launching of the redesigned BMW X3 SUV. Both the new X3 and the 6Fattie come with superior on-road and off-road design and technology. Also, both the e-bike and the crossover can be availed in the BMW exclusive Phytonic Blue color.

The all new X3 features a whole new design which includes new technologies, new engines, a new chassis and newly styled interior amenities. Its highlights include the new ergonomically designed cockpit that represents many of the X3’s exterior styling cues such as the sloped edges and hexagon shapes that are visible throughout the cabin.

Now in its 3rd generation, the SUV is a lot bigger and packed with more features as far as efficiency, performance and safety are concerned. It is slated to hit the dealerships this November with prices to be released before its market premiere.
