A car envisioned for 2030: the Mercedes-Maybach ECHO Concept

Sometime last year at the Chateau de Chantilly located 50 km northeast of Paris, rare automobiles from different parts of the world gathered to flaunt their premium looks. The longest coupe in the world, the Mercedes-Maybach Vision 6 caught the eyes of many present at the Concours d'Elegance. It was a sight to behold. The exquisite coupe was presented for us to see into the future of luxury cars. The brand certainly outdid itself as it created a truly breathtaking study – the Mercedes-Maybach ECHO concept, a supercar that can take on the road as early as the year 2030.

Since the aforementioned Vision 6 Luxury Coupe design concept was made to showcase the future of premium hypercars, then a self-driving Maybach concept is just as timely as the coupe. The concept drawing came from the creative hands of design expert Hawan Park, who managed to create a car that features both futuristic as well as class, while also deducing how the visionary vehicle's wooden structure aids to disperse sound. These can propel the car from a standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) in only 4 seconds.

The grandiose concept is expected to reach a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). Mercedes-Maybach claimed that the vehicle can pick up a charge of around 62 miles needing only 5 minutes, if you got the right kind of charging device. For sure, this is a revolutionary tech that could make a huge impact in the day to day practicality of electric cars. The coupe can either be charged by plugging in or wirelessly with an inductive charging system.
