Liberty Walk’s McLaren 650S is set to appear at 2017 London Motor Show on May 4

Motor show after motor show. Kicking it off at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, several more auto shows are scheduled for the first half of the year. Over the weekend, there was the Belgrade Motor Show, which will be followed by the Seoul Motor Show happening soon. In April, let us not forget the New York International Auto Show, and fans will be brought to Britain when the country’s largest auto show – the London Motor Show takes place over the first weekend of May.
Japanese car tuning company, Liberty Walk, who is known not just for dressing up cars, but actually remodeling the car itself, is scheduled to attend the upcoming London Motor Show. Established in 2008 in Japan, the company develops body kits for the world’s finest cars. And today, there are over 500 hand-built LB Works cars driving around and outside of Japan, including Europe and the US.
The Japanese tuners will be presenting a McLaren 650s that their company customized at the motor show after its premiere in Geneva. The supercar gets a distinctive yellow exterior with green stripes as accents, and layers of clear paint for extra shine.
The McLaren comes with a whole set of aerodynamic improvements - Liberty Walk’s trademark. The upgrade starts with extra wide fenders that make it feel more like a race car. The three-piece fender, screwed directly onto the body was made to contain wider tires or trick suspension. A set of Forgiato wheels are installed, made specially for the owner. LBW also added a back bumper that looks more tucked-into the lower section, resulting to the exposure of the rear tires’ treads. Rear diffuser slots on each side of the transmission add style to the rear-end. To complete the look, a P1 GTR-inspired rear wing was added. However, we are unsure if the wing actually has a function.
Alec Mumford, Chairman of the 2017 London Motor Show, expressed their delight to welcome Liberty Walk to their show and at the same time, is ecstatic to see the the actual McLaren 650S in Battersea Park. He even complemented the Japanese tuners for succeeding in adding “drama to an already dramatic car”.
Official ambassadors of the motor show, Tiff Needell, Jodie Kidd, and Ben Collins will also be promoting the event. Reports say that Rolls-Royce, BMW, Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini will be at the exhibit, along with some others such as Tesla, MG, Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, Bentley, Chevrolet, Dodge, Can-Am and Skoda.
