This Tesla Model S Shooting Brake Is Here To Move Your Furniture

A specialist carbonfibre coachbuilder in Norfolk has built a shooting brake version of a Tesla Model S, and while it looks a bit odd at first, it's still very cool

This is the world’s first shooting brake built out of a Tesla Model S – and, amazingly, it’s actually lighter than standard.
Built by QWest, a coachbuilder specialising in carbonfibre, this obviously aftermarket but still very cool conversion saves 12kg over the standard layout, despite being bigger. As you’ve guessed, the whole assembly is made from carbonfibre except the window and wiper.
It’s based on a Model S 90D and carries the same 2.8-second 0-60mph sprint capability. It’s claimed to have an extra 210 litres of load space, though, which is handy. Need some furniture moving very quietly? Bingo.
There’s an obvious join between the factory roof and the start of the QWest rear end, and we’re not sure about the ‘floating’ roof design, but this is still a very cool project to have pulled out of the bag.
You can see it at the London Motor Show, which takes place from 17-20 May 2018. QWest will be bringing it to the show at the ExCeL Exhibition Centre, a change of venue designed to house more people after 25,000 people visited the show at Battersea Evolution last year.
The London Motor Show in its current form was set up in 2016, and mostly covers existing models that have already been seen elsewhere. The Model S Shooting Brake is, therefore, a bit of a coup.
