Any takers on David Beckham’s Ferrari 360 Spider?

Football fan, check! Ferrari fan, check! Well, I’ve got some news you might be interested in. Former Manchester United star and current United Nations ambassador David Beckham isn’t just known for his good looks and his skills on the field - he is also known for collecting luxury cars. In fact, the star had been spotted taking out a number of sweet vehicles from a Cadillac Escalade, a Jeep Wrangler, to a Rolls-Royce Ghost - plus many others! And guess what? He is putting one of his luxurious rides up on an auction later this week.

Beckham’s former ride, a 2001 Ferrari 360 Spider example is painted in a beautiful Nero black finish exterior, combined with a full Sabbia light brown leather-finished interior. The best part about this is that the car has only been driven 7,800 miles (12,552 kilometers) since it was bought. We can be sure it is still in almost brand-new condition.

This model is just one in 8,800 360 Modenas produced worldwide, and is one of just 7,565 Spiders. A rare find, indeed! It comes with a 3.6 liter V8 engine, a 395 horsepower (294 kilowatts) and 276 pound-feet (374 Newton-metres) of torque with the ability to run from 0 to 60 miles per hour (96 kilometers per hour) in just 4.7 seconds.

There’s more to this car than just having a celebrity status and a long history of Ferrari service. This specific model comes with a couple of added features such as a set of lightweight BBS alloy wheels, privacy glass for those of you who want to stay low-key (but not really), wide racing seats finished with carbon fiber, an F1 geabox, a Tubi sports exhaust, and a Challenge rear diffuser - all customized for Beckham, and soon for its new owner. In fact, Beckham was such a fan of this car that after this example, he bought another 360 Spider two years after.

Acquiring a brand new 360 Modena would cost you at least $172,000 for the standard model. But this one, even after being owned by the football star, and considering that it is in great condition, costs much less - with a starting bid of around £85,000 to £95,000 ($106,800 to $119,370) according to H&H Classics. That is quite big of a difference, $52,630 to be exact.

The Ferrari 360 Spider will be in auction alongside a number of Italian supercars on March 29, 2017 at the Imperial War Museum in Duford, United Kingdom. So now, let us sit back and wait for the auction to take place and see how much people are willing to spend on this ride.
