2016 Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 is upgraded to be more fuel efficient
Lamborghini has updated the Huracán LP 610-4 for the 2016 model year to feature new elements that improve the vehicle’s efficiency and drivability as well as raise its luxury level. For more variety, the Huracán is now available with more colors and trims.
Inside, the Huracán features standard refinements like leather on door handles and the upper parts of the center console. Likewise, air vents now come painted in exclusive matt black. Customers who want to further personalize their Huracán vehicles may do so through the brand’s customization program, Lamborghini Ad Personam.
The program now allows Huracán owners to personalize both the exterior and the interior with new colors. Thus, the Ad Personam program brings more joy to owners who want to personalize their Huracáns. To the make the V10 engine of the Huracán (and its Spyder version) become more fuel efficient, Lamborghini has the cylinder deactivation feature as standard.
Thus, when the Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 doesn’t require full engine power, the feature temporarily deactivates five of the ten cylinders by switching off one cylinder bank. But when the conditions require power, just like when the driver accelerates, cylinder deactivation puts all ten cylinders back to work in a seamless and smooth manner.
Thanks to this system, the Huracán’s fuel consumption significantly drops. Its carbon dioxide emissions have also decreased to 283 g/km. Lamborghini fine-tuned the vehicle’s electronically controlled 4WD system to allow it to deliver a neutral and improved driving behavior, especially when the STRADA mode is selected.
Lamborghini has good news for owners who simply want to create a Huracán LP 610-4 according to their personal taste. The carmaker has extended its options program to include new elements like Lamborghini’s Sensonum audio system, which delivers 390 Watts RMS.
This audio system features a ten-channel amplifier and a range of ten loudspeakers in hexagonal-shaped grilles. It also features the exclusive Sensonum badge. Moreover, the Lamborghini Huracán could be specified with the carmaker’s optional sports exhaust system, which could be availed to include high gloss black tailpipes.
Furthermore, customers could choose to combine the new LED lighting in the engine compartment with the optional transparent engine bonnet and carbon fiber engine compartment. Customers could also avail of a travel pack that features additional storage nets on the front and rear, as well as an additional 12V lighter and cupholders.
Huracán owners could also avail of the Cruise Control system. The 2016 Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 has a price tag of EUR169,500 plus tax. Based in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy, Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. develops and manufactures luxury sports cars.
The Italian company launched the Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 in 2014 and the Huracán Spyder in 2015 – both as successors to the Lamborghini Gallardo.
Automobili Lamborghini is home to a number of iconic luxury sports cars like the 350 GT, Countach, Diablo, Espada, Miura, Murciélago, Reventón, Sesto Elemento and Aventador J. The carmaker celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2013 with the launch of the Veneno Coupé, Egoista and Veneno Roadster.
