Koenigsegg’s most powerful car yet seen at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show

Four thousand, three hundred and sixty. Nope, it’s not just a number. Koenigsegg showed off all its rivals at this year’s Motor Show as its three cars have outputs that add up to a total horsepower of 4,360. That is equivalent to 3,251 kilowatts. It sure can light up a whole motor show!
Ok, so what are those three cars, you ask? After introducing the prototype last year, Koenigsegg showcased the first two customer Regeras, fresh from their factory in Angelholm, Sweden.
The first of the two sports an iconic green carbon fiber finish that represents the British Racing Green. Its interior, from the seats, the door panels, all the way to the dashboard is a basket-weave like leather in light Saddle Brown. The sleek design and the colour combination kind of gives it an ironic vintage-modern feel to it. Very unique, unlike your usual sports car.
The second Regera, on the other hand, gives off a classic sports car vibe. Far from the first model, its exterior has a typical bright red finish, with a grey carbon fiber accent that goes through the middle, and is complemented with a two-tone interior of soft red and grey leather.
Koenigsegg shows how the exact same car can give off completely opposite personalities, through design. The Regeras flaunt an extraordinary 1,500 horsepower (1,118 kilowatts) each with a 5.0-liter V8. Unheard of! Both cars also come with carbon fiber wheels that are optional.
And take note, the Regeras are not just about how good they look, or the power they acquire. These cars have features such as the six-way electronically adjustable seats, it has got built in USB charging ports (so you don’t have to buy one of those adaptors anymore), Bird’s Eye View parking assistance that lets you see your car from a completely new perspective, Apple CarPlay so you can easily control your phone from your car, and finally, a new Autoskin system which allows the driver to control parts of the car (like opening certain doors or hoods) with a touch of a button.
Before I forget Koenigsegg’s third car, which I won’t of course as it is the rarest amongst the three, let me introduce it: the custom Agera RS Gryphon. It features a black carbon fiber body, accented with stunning 24-carat gold leaf all over the car’s exterior, and an all black sleek interior. It has an engine that delivers 1,360 horsepower and it only weighs 1,395kg.
Impressive! This one has got to be my favourite amongst the three.
