Red 1932 Ford Hot Rod burns with 950-hp V8 bi-turbo engine from Ferrari

This is definitely one of the hotter versions of the so-called hot rod. Using the chassis and body of a 1930s vehicle from Ford, the creator of this hot rod installed a semi-modern eight-cylinder engine from Ferrari boosted by a pair of turbochargers. Throw in a number of complementing parts and a satin red finish, and the result is a classic hot rod with a 950-hp Ferrari engine.

Essentially, this hot rod from the 1930s already boasts of a power level already beyond the supercar of the present times. It features the chassis, box and stainless inserts of a 1932 Ford. Aside from these parts, all are outsourced or modified, especially its engine. This hot rod also comes with a 1932 Ford three-window fiberglass body finished in Vintage Flatz satin red. Also provided are power windows as well as pop up doors.

Gone is the original engine of this 1932 Ford, but in its stead, a powerful 1989 Ferrari V8 engine with a capacity of 3.0 liters has been transplanted. Featuring a compression ratio of 9.1 to 1, this V8 unit is believed to be sourced from a Ferrari 308 and is similar to the mill found inside the engine bay of the Lancia Thema 8.32. For this particular hot rod, this Ferrari 3.0-liter V8 engine was even made more powerful thanks to the installation of the Twin Turbonetics Turbochargers as well as its one-off stainless steel high-flow headers courtesy of Alan Lee as complemented by pre-bend tubing from Cone Engineering.

As a result, this modified engine is able to deliver around 950 hp of max output available at 8,500 rpm, as sent to the wheels of this powerful hot rod through a six-speed Tremec manual transmission with race clutch. An engine computer from AEM infinity was also installed, while a steel front grille with Mishimoto intercoolers and high-capacity aluminum radiator in the trunk were fitted. Notably, this hot rod is a left-hand drive unit.

These changes on the power unit are complemented by the fitment of front drop axle with disc brakes behind the aluminum drum brakes as well as of an independent rear suspension with 15-inch disc brakes and four piston calipers. KW suspension race shocks are also fitted on this V8-powered hot rod. This 1932 Ford hot rod is also fitted with American auto wire harness, full race roll cage and a bucket seat with five-point harness. Dakota Digital gauges are also equipped into this hot rod.

The 1932 Ford hot rod rides on 18-inch wheels designed by Alan Lee as wrapped in Achilles Race Tires. Fans would also appreciate its wheels that feature prancing horse badges, which are also found on other locations on this hot rod.
