Renault now accepts pre-orders for Zoe Star Wars Limited Edition

It’s Star Wars fever once again, and the second installation of the trilogy sequel -- “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” -- is finally hitting theaters. Avid fans of the franchise would love to know that a limited edition Renault Zoe will soon arrive with Star Wars special touches. In partnership with Star Wars, Renault is unleashing the force with the new 2018 Renault Zoe Star Wars Limited Edition electric vehicle.

Just like Anakin Skywalker and Ben Solo becoming Darth Vader and Kylo Ren, respectively, the best-selling EV in Europe has transformed into the Renault Zoe Star Wars special edition. Interestingly, the Zoe Star Wars isn't the first vehicle from the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance to use the force. Just last year, Nissan’s mid-size crossover merged into the world of the Jedi by becoming the Nissan Rogue: Rogue One Star Wars limited edition. That marked the first time that a carmaker officially partnered with the Star Wars franchise. The partnership now continues, but with Nissan’s alliance partner Renault.

To enter the world of the Jedi, the Renault Zoe Star Wars features an exterior covered with a number of decals related to the franchise. For instance, the bonnet, roof and boot of the Renault Zoe Star Wars sport decals starring Han Solo’s Millennium Falcon star ship. Specific Star Wars badging can be found on the front fenders just below the A-pillar, as well as on the door sills.

Renault is making the Zoe Star Wars limited edition available in four body finishes: Etoile Black, Glacier White, Pearlescent White and Titanium Grey.

Inside the Renault Zoe Star Wars special edition, a number of parts are covered in purple hue like the dashboard trim strip, speakers, air vent surrounds as well as the base of gearshift and borders or the carpet.

The Renault Zoe Star Wars limited edition is derived from the Intens trim level of the EV. It builds on the equipment and feature list that comes standard with the Zoe Intens and is further enhanced by the addition of Bose audio, in-car Wi-Fi, 17-inch Techrun wheels and a reversing camera.

Renault is set to unleash the force that is the Zoe Star Wars in time with the theatrical release of the Stars Wars VIII, also known as the Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The limited edition will be unveiled and displayed at the L’Atelier Renault on the Champs-Elysées in Paris, France.

Renault will formally accept orders for the Zoe Star Wars special edition starting March 2018, although the French carmaker is already taking pre-reservations. Star Wars fans need to act fast, as only 1,000 examples will be available.

To celebrate its partnership with STAR WARS™, Renault has unveiled an eponymous limited-edition version of ZOE, its most avant-garde model and Europe's best-selling electric vehicle.

A very special limited-edition version of ZOE, Europe’s number one EV

Echoing the futuristic world of the Jedi, ZOE STAR WARS is set to join the interplanetary fleet. The show begins with the car’s exterior which features decals inspired by the world of STAR WARS™ in general, and Han Solo’s celebrated Millennium Falcon star ship in particular, for the bonnet, roof and boot. Specific badging and door sills add to the new limited-edition ZOE’s unique appeal.

The interior includes an unprecedented purple hue for the dashboard trim strip, air vent surrounds, speakers, gearshift base and carpet mat borders.

In addition to the equipment that comes as standard with the model’s Intens trim level, ZOE STAR WARS is equipped with a reversing camera, Bose® audio, 17-inch Techrun wheels and in-car Wi-Fi.

A choice of four body colours will be available, namely Glacier White, Pearlescent White, Titanium Grey and Etoilé Black.

The unveiling of ZOE STAR WARS coincides with the release of the saga’s latest film – STAR WARS™: THE LAST JEDI – and the public will be able to view the new limited-edition version at L’Atelier Renault on the Champs-Elysées in Paris, France.

With STAR WARS™: HAN SOLO due to be screened in cinemas from May 23, 2018, order books for the limited-edition ZOE STAR WARS will open in March, 2018. Only 1,000 cars will be available (in France only) and pre-reservations are being taken from 9pm CET this evening at renault.fr.
