Hennessey reveals the first images with Venom F5 interior

Earlier in November at the 2017 SEMA Show in Vegas is when Hennessey unwrapped the Venom F5 to all of us. But it was actually first introduced as a concept in 2014. Not much of the car’s interior has been revealed until now. Back then, the images showed only a section of the dashboard that was finished in carbon fiber. This time, more photos of the interior have surfaced online so we could clearly see the vehicle’s steering wheel and its instrument cluster.
The steering wheel looks like it had been covered in carbon fiber and Alcantara, while adopting a three spoke configuration with a flat upper and lower areas. The steering wheel has a number of features, from the turn signals, to radio controls, high beam flash, gear selector, start/stop button, the horn, and one red button that caught our attention.
To be honest, these images still don’t allow us to figure out all the functions. However, the company did say that it will be releasing more images of the Venom F5’s interior very soon.
What we are most curious about is the red bar on the upper part of the steering wheel’s function. It could be a digital rev counter like that of race cars, or it may only be a design feature. There are also noticeable shift paddles as well as a fully digital instrument cluster that has an “ERS” logo, where ERS stands for energy recovery system.
As I have mentioned earlier, the first image that we saw of the interior gave us a detailed look of the carbon clad dashboard that has three central air vents. These were designed to replicate the Venom F5’s triple exhaust system. Under those vents, you will find a wide infotainment system that seems to not have physical controls around it. This is because most of the controls are already found on the new steering wheel.
We also heard from Hennessey earlier that this model can hit 249 miles per hour in under 30 seconds, before hitting its maximum speed of 300 miles per hour.
Very soon, we’ll receive a complete set of images, including the cabin, of the 1,600 horsepower Venom F5’s cabin by Hennessey. One last thing, Hennessey only plans to build 24 copies of the Venom F5 so you have got to be quick if you would like to be one of the first buyers. Each unit costs a cool $1.6 million.
