Infiniti introduces 3-tier reservation rewards program, US price for 2019 QX50

Infiniti will commence sales of the new 2019 Infiniti QX50 in the spring, with a starting price of $36,550. But before the big launch, Infiniti has introduced a new reservation program that will allow customers to rack up luxurious rewards. But this pre-launch reservation rewards program isn't just about making customers happy, but also about increasing the hype and sales of the new 2019 Infiniti QX50.

Designed to rack up more reservations, the pre-launch reservation rewards program for the 2019 QX50 is divided into three tiers. Once a tier is unlocked by reaching a certain number of reservations, it opens up certain luxury rewards for customers. Unlocking the second tier and the third tier means upgraded luxury gifts for customers.

The first tier unlocks when the luxury carmaker receives more than 4,000 reservations. This was easily reached, and according to Infiniti USA’s Web site, the luxury carmaker has already taken 8,032 reservations (as of this writing). This meant that the second tier of luxury rewards has already been unlocked at 8,000 reservations. For the third tier to be unlocked, the total reservations received by Infiniti for the 2019 QX50 need to reach 12,000.

So far, the numbers imply that Infiniti’s pre-launch reservation rewards program is working. Infiniti introduced the program just days ago, and interested customers are given until February 28, 2018 to make their reservations. Just days into the program, Infiniti already managed to unlock the second tier, or two-thirds of the project. At this pace, it won't take long before Infiniti unlocks the third and final tier. Only customers who signed up and purchased or leased the 2019 Infiniti QX50 by May 31 are eligible to receive the luxury gift packages, which come in three themes: Tech, Audio and Home.

The Tech Package offers up to three gifts from Apple. The first tier unlocks a two-year subscription to Apple Music while the second tier opens up an Apple iPad (32GB). The third tier adds an Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS).

The Audio Package includes audio products from Bose, with the first tier conferring SoundSport Free wireless headphones. The second and third tiers add a SoundLink Revolve+ Bluetooth speaker and QuietComfort 35 wireless headphones II, respectively.

The Home Package, meanwhile, unlocks gifts from Nest and Google. These gifts include Google Home (first tier), and Nest Learning Thermostat (second tier), as well as Nest Cam Indoor, Nest Cam Outdoor and Nest Protect (third tier).

The 2019 Infiniti QX50 has a starting manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of $36,550 for the QX50 Pure FWD model. The top-of-the-range model – the QX50 Essential AWD – starts at $45,150.
