Fisker to start taking pre-orders for new EMotion on June 30, starting price is at $129,900

Fisker Inc.’s countdown to the official unveiling of the new Fisker EMotion in mid-August 2017 has practically started after the carmaker released the first official teaser images and some details of its latest electric car project.
According to Fisker, the new EMotion was designed all new from inside out, with its electric car proportions made into reality by a structure made from carbon fiber and aluminum. In penning the design of the new EMotion, Fisker focused on the safety and convenience of its passengers. In fact, Fisker’s patented frontal crash structure has already surpassed the current passenger safety standards. Likewise, the new EMotion provides a luxurious and roomy cabin that offers a generous amount of legroom.
As designed, the Fisker EMotion shown in the first official images look different from the prototype’s teaser images released in October 2016. Compared with the prototype, the new EMotion – assuming that this is the final design – has a smaller grille, more realistic headlights, and more stunning turn signals. The bright aluminum centerpiece on the front end of the EMotion is home to a LIDAR system. This technology is supported by two cameras on the side mirrors, allowing for a panoramic, 360-degree view.
Meanwhile, some of the elements found in the new Fisker EMotion are inspired by the world of racing. These elements include a low bonnet line as bordered by sculptural front fenders and a tapered green house with large sculptural rear fenders. The new EMotion also features an array of frontal, side, and rear aerodynamic elements made from carbon fiber. Meanwhile, its side Daylight Opening (DLO) features the signature double-polished aluminum window molding. The rear end of the EMotion is marked by an integrated lower carbon diffuser as well as thin taillights. The new Fisker EMotion rides on large ultra-light carbon fiber and aluminum wheels.
The core of the new Fisker EMotion is its highly advanced high-energy density battery pack and cooling system. This battery pack -- conceived by Fisker Nanotech and Nanotech Energy Inc. – employs Graphene Supercapacitors, instead of the usual lithium-ion batteries that are the current choice of energy source for present electric vehicles. The battery pack can be charged through Fisker’s UltraCharger technology, which allows the EMotion to gain over 100 miles of range in just nine minutes. Overall, the new Emotion could go as far as 400 miles and as fast as 161 miles per hour.
Fisker will commence accepting pre-orders for the EMotion through its Web site on June30, 2017, with a starting price of $129,900. Servicing of the new Fisker Emotion will be through The Hybrid Shop (THS).
PRESS RELEASE

Fisker Inc. Unveils First Official Teaser Photos of the All-Electric 400 mile-plus EV Range Fisker EMotion

Fisker Inc. today released the design specifications and teaser photos of their 2019 production vehicle, the Fisker EMotion. The EMotion delivers an astounding over 400-mile electric range and a top speed of 161 mph.
The new EMotion is a clean sheet design from the inside out, utilizing a carbon fiber and aluminum structure to redefine the proportions of an electric vehicle. The vehicle’s design gives greater consideration than ever before to its passengers’ safety, comfort, and convenience. Fisker’s patented frontal crash structure exceeds current standards to protect all occupants. The cabin features a luxurious, spacious interior with superior rear legroom. Large ultra-light carbon fiber and aluminum wheels, developed in conjunction with Dymag, reduce rotational mass by 40%, further improving electric range.
The Fisker EMotion has been proportioned to accommodate an advanced high-energy density, patent-pending battery pack and cooling system. It can be charged through the vehicle’s proprietary UltraCharger™ technology, charging over 100 miles in nine minutes.
The EMotion seamlessly combines technology into the design of the vehicle. The front end’s bright aluminum centerpiece houses a LIDAR system behind a tinted screen. Side mirrors conceal two cameras, which enable panoramic, 360-degree views to the driver.
The world of racing inspired some of the EMotions more daring elements. Extreme aerodynamics include frontal, side, and rear carbon aero elements, as well as a low hood line surrounded by sculptural front fenders and a tapered green house with large sculptural rear fenders. The side DLO (Daylight Opening) is finished with a signature EMotion double-polished aluminum window molding. The rear end has a dramatic section with thin taillights, and an integrated lower carbon diffuser.
The vehicle will be sold directly through Fisker Inc.’s website and forthcoming experience centers. The EMotion will be serviced through The Hybrid Shop (THS), a joint venture between Fisker Inc. and THS.
Fisker Service will provide its customers with a one-of-a-kind, white glove concierge service, providing Fisker owners a seamless day “free of interruption” for routine maintenance and servicing.
The company will be revealing additional information throughout June 2017. Pre-orders for the vehicle will officially begin June 30th at fiskerinc.com.
