Hard-to-find 1995 BMW M5 (E34) Touring can be yours for roughly $130,000

Since there were only 891 examples of the M5 wagon, BMW never really had the chance to formally launch the model to the US. Good news is, a special dealer of BMW from Cincinnati has one currently on sale. For $129,990, you could own a rare 1995 BMW M5 Touring which also happens to be the final production year for BMW’s E34 generation.

As described on its website at www.enthusiastauto.com, the M5 is on sale with 96,206 accumulated mileage and is painted in Santorin blue with Diamond Schwartz lower trim and Lotus White Nappa leather for its interior. The leather upholstery’s piping comes in the same shade as the exterior’s body paint including the stitching along the nubuck headliner, the door handles, its ABC pillars, at the shift knob and its dashboard.

Packed with 335hp (250kW) 3.8-liter straight six engine, the high performance wagon in Santorin Blue is just one of the two examples ever built with the same specification. After acquiring the M5, the seller said it has been slightly modified and has since undergone comprehensive checkups to ensure that it is ready to be driven and enjoyed.

Among the service highlights are engine air filter and fuel filter replacement, coolant and brake fluid flush replacement, transmission fluid and differential fluid change as well as engine oil and filter replacements.

Moreover, all 1995 Tourings have been updated with an 18-inch M-Parallel, EDC suspension, thicker sway bars, larger brake rotors and a 6-speed Getrag Type D Transmission.

Nevertheless, the seller’s “no-expense-spared” service provides the wagon with a new flywheel, clutch, spark plugs, coolant hose and water pump. In addition to the cylinder head refresh, the M5 gets a complete engine gasket set, timing chain and engine bearing replacement too. The 4-wheel brake was replaced as well while the calipers have been restored including the arms and bushings to complete the overhaul.

Well, not everyone would be pleased with the idea of a tweaked rare BMW M5. But we have to say that this one is special and so collectors will scramble to acquire it. Assuming the stock BMW M5 Touring wagon could accelerate from zero to 60 mph (100kph) in six seconds, we’re guessing the slight modifications could make the sprint time even shorter.
