New Pagani Huayra BC lands in Miami wrapped in glossy black carbon with yellow accents
Whenever a Pagani Huayra BC gets delivered to a new owner in any place in the world, it does get some sort of attention. After all, the Pagani Huayra BC isn’t an ordinary car, and its owners aren’t ordinary as well. In the United States alone, the Pagani Huayra BC is quickly proving that it is a hypercar that is a must-have for the extra-rich. Proof of that is the recent delivery of a Pagani Huayra in the US soil.
This example was brought to the US -- particularly in Miami, Florida – by Prestige Imports. Just like the previous examples of the Pagani Huayra BC that were delivered, the looks of this unit were customized according to the taste and preferences of its new owner. However, unlike previous examples that we have seen, this Pagani Huayra BC is wrapped in traditional gloss black carbon, rather than the colored carbon fiber that has been the preference lately.
This black finish is accentuated by bright yellow pinstripes that can be found throughout the new Huayra BC, from the front end, on the bonnet, around the headlights, on all four wheels, on the brake calipers and the flanks as well as around the side windows, on its gullwing doors, on the rear end and on the massive rear spoiler.
Apparently, the new owner of this new Pagani Huayra also owns a McLaren P1. Interestingly, the black and yellow design of the Pagani Huayra BC is very similar to that of the McLaren P1.
Pagani unveiled the new Huayra BC at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, dubbing it as its most technologically advanced and most powerful offering to date. The 'BC' in the supercar’s moniker is the initials for Benny Caiola, the person who served as an inspiration for company founder and chief executive Horacio Pagani while the carmaker was still in its early days. Caiola was so impressed by Pagani’s passion in his car designs that he was the company’s first car buyer.
The new Huayra optimizes aerodynamic efficiency and effectively cancels aerodynamic lift by incorporating active aerodynamics. Pagani and his team devoted months of study to come up with the perfect configuration that could maximize downforce while employing the brand’s design language.
Serving as the power core of the Pagani Huayra BC is a V12 Bi-Turbo engine developed by Mercedes-AMG exclusively for Pagani. The CARB and EU6-approved V12 engine could deliver up to 789 hp of max output and 811 lb.-ft. of peak torque, as sent to the wheels through a seven-speed AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) that features a new electro-hydraulic actuation system with new carbon fiber synchronizer.
