2018 Buick LaCrosse Avenir has starting price of $45,795
Interested to get Buick’s latest rendition of the Avenir? It isn’t really a range-topping trim as it’s actually treated as a sub-brand. Before it came out as the LaCrosse sedan, this model first appeared as a four-door concept, and was initially introduced as the Enclave SUV. As you know, the Enclave Avenir has a starting price of $53,500, and the LaCrosse will be priced a little cheaper when it finally goes on sale in a few weeks.
Let us get into more detail regarding the prices of the LaCrosse trims. Firstly, the luxurious 2018 Buick LaCrosse Avenir can be had for a reasonable price of $45,795. This makes it $3,700 more expensive than the standard LaCrosse Premium, which has a price tag of $42,095 (inclusive of a destination cost of $925).
Under the hood of the LaCrosse Avenir is the same 3.6 liter engine that can be found in the Premium model. It carries out 310 horsepower (231 kilowatts) and 268 pound-feet (363 Newton-metres) of torque, paired to a nine speed automatic transmission. But since it is priced a little more, expect it to come with some extra features too.
These added features include a model-exclusive mesh in the grille. Customers can then choose from a set of standard 19 inch Pearl Nickel alloy wheels or a slightly larger set of 20 inch wheels in Midnight Silver. There will also be a panoramic moonroof, satellite navigation, and Bose Centerpoint Surround Sound audio. The cabin boasts a chestnut themed interior, but this is only available for the top trim. There’s also an Ebony themed option. Both come with “Avenir” logos on the headrests and sill plates.
For those who are interested, you could get your hands on the Buick LaCrosse Avenir as soon as next month. This all wheel drive will come with new design elements in the exterior and the interior. Aside from that, it will feature a Dynamic Drive Package, and of course, safety features that come standard with it.
Unfortunately, the e-Assist mild hybrid system is only available on the 2.5 liter four cylinder engine. As for the options, customers can tick the all wheel drive with Action Twin Clutch from the options list, which will increase your total bill to $47,995.
The automaker also thinks that 9 out of 10 LaCrosse buyers will likely choose the premium Avenir package over the standard model. And as early as now, Buick has already seen the Enclave Avenir’s fair share of success with buyers as they choose the premium trim at a rate of about 35 percent of overall sales.
